Leading companies in Spain have joined the fast growing Nexus Automotive International (N!) just as the automotive parts distribution group is hosting its first major business forum for members and suppliers.
The addition of URVI and Agerauto reinforces N!’s already strong presence in Spain, making Nexus Automotive International the second largest autoparts distribution organisation in the country.
Over the next three days (21-23 January) Nexus Automotive International will be welcoming dozens of partners and suppliers to Montreux to update them on the rapid progress achieved since the group was formed in January 2014 and outline plans for the future. They will also engage in a day and a half of ‘speed dating’, during which N! members from Europe, the Middle East, Africa and South America will explore potential contracts with favoured suppliers. The prestigious event is being held at the lakeside Grand Hotel Suisse Majestic, which overlooks beautiful Lake Geneva and the Swiss Alps.
Gael Escribe, Chief Executive of Nexus Automotive International, said: “This is a landmark event for Nexus Automotive International – our first Business Forum on what is in essence our first anniversary. We are very excited to have attracted so many major businesses from so many different countries to join us here in Montreux.“It will be a celebration of how far we have come in such a short time but we also look forward to some serious business being done and partnerships being created from which members and suppliers can draw real value.
“It is also pleasing to announce, on the eve of the conference, that URVI and Agerauto have signed as our latest members, following their introduction to N! through our founding partner in Spain IDAP.
“We expect to be able to reveal further developments in several territories throughout 2015, including new members in the Middle East, Africa and Latin America, with potentially an announcement as soon as before the end of this month.”
The URVI group is the largest distributor of spare parts for heavy duty vehicles, trailers, semi-trailers and buses in Spain. Based near Madrid with its own warehouse, it has 21 members with a total of 35 branches strategically placed around the country.
Agerauto is the leading Spanish distributor specialising in electrical spare parts. With 15 members and 40 branches, Agerauto has a large warehouse near
Barcelona and its own Garage Concept, called Tecnotaller.
Gael added: “We are now represented by major distributors in four continents and we plan to continue this expansion into and beyond 2015.”
