Network grows and agreements signed with new partners

Nexus Automotive International (N!), the major new autoparts distribution group covering Europe, the Middle East and Africa, is off to a ‘flying start’ signing co-operation agreements with new partners and spreading the network to new territories.

Just five months after its launch in January, Nexus has announced new partners in Russia,  Estonia, Gabon, Central and Western Africa, Serbia, Belarus, Mauritius and Madagascar, Algeria, Morocco and Greece, along with the creation of Nexus Turkey, the first of a series of  local Nexus organisations, which will operate on behalf of N! in Turkey, Bulgaria, North Cyprus, Georgia and Iran (when possible). N! has its headquarters in Geneva, with offices in Paris and Dubai. Its founding shareholders
are successful distribution companies in the UK and Ireland, France, Spain and Portugal, Italy, Belgium, Finland, Poland, Turkey, Egypt, Emirates, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, Ghana and Palestine.

Nexus Chief Executive Gael Escribe said: “The response from potential partners and suppliers has been beyond expectations since we launched in Geneva in January. I’m delighted we have made such great progress in a relatively short time and it confirms that the automotive aftermarket in the region is open to innovation and overall efficiencies.”

The new partner in Russia is a group of distributors that has called itself N Alliance. It joined on April 1, along with:

  • Automeister, the new partner in Estonia, a privately owned distributor established in 1993 that has a leading market share in that country
  • Gesparc, the new partner in Gabon, which is owned by Sogafric and is one of the two leading distributors in this rising market. It is the first African member to join
  • Groupe Fadoul, the new partner in Central and Western Africa, one of the leaders of the automotive aftermarket on the African continent. Groupe Fadoul will also become a shareholder of the Group.

In addition to the new partners, Speedy, the leading fast-fit company in France, the French Overseas territories, Middle-East and Northern Africa, also joined Nexus Automotive International on April 1, with the key objective to be the ‘ambassador’ of N! suppliers on all Speedy key markets. The integration of Speedy will facilitate the standardisation of its products and services offering throughout the international Speedy network.

The new partners in Serbia, Belarus, Mauritius and Madagascar, Algeria, Morocco and Greece, are respectively EuroAuto, L-Auto, Rey & Lenferma, Siad, Standard Auto and Viacar, who all joined from May 1. Gael Escribe said the new partners had been appointed following a rigorous selection process and all showed outstanding entrepreneurship, high level management skills and potential for growth. Gael: “We are being contacted by interested parties on a regular basis and are actively
exploring several further opportunities, among all in France, Italy, UK, Russia, Turkey and the Middle-East, including new channels to market. “We recently exhibited at the Belgium show, joining our shareholder BCC (Benelux Carparts Corporation), as well as at Automechanika Turkey with our shareholder Dinamik, and received a great deal of attention this week at Automechanika Dubai (3 to 5 June), where we promoted Nexus and our suppliers jointly with our shareholder Nasco, welcoming at the same time a large number of potential local N! partners to talk to us.

“Over the past five months our team has been focused on opening offices in three countries, visiting shareholders, partners and suppliers, and spreading the message at
international exhibitions. They have spent a lot of time in the air but it has enabled us to move forward quickly. It could be said that in many ways, we have made a ‘flying start!’”
